Nudges / Visual hints

To support intuitive learning, the experience includes visual cues that highlight interactive elements such as controller buttons and gesture zones. These subtle animations and highlights guide users in real time and help them understand what to do without relying on text-heavy instructions.

Demo at Augmented World Expo (AWE) 2024

Fundamentals was showcased live at AWE 2024 as part of Magic Leap’s demo experience. Visitors had the chance to try the onboarding flow firsthand, learning how to use the controller and hand gestures to interact with AR content through the headset.

Other footage

This section showcases additional visual content from the Fundamentals experience, including interaction prototypes, gesture animations, and 3D object visualizations. These elements supported early concept testing and helped shape the final onboarding flow.

Additional work

This reel highlights a collection of visual and motion design projects created at Magic Leap in 2024-25. It includes work from several initiatives, such as the Fundamentals onboarding experience, interaction design explorations, visual systems for spatial interfaces, voice visualizations, pattern studies, and an early design language teaser. The reel reflects a cross-disciplinary approach that blends UI, motion, and 3D design across various AR use cases.
