We designed a fully immersive 360° VR experience to introduce finance professionals to the Bloomberg Terminal. Set in a dynamic, cinematic environment, the experience provides an interactive overview of the terminal’s key features and data tools. Under the direction of the creative lead, I was responsible for all visual design, including 3D modeling, UI elements, motion, and interactivity across the entire experience.

Problem
The Bloomberg Terminal is a powerful tool used widely by finance professionals and traders, but many potential customers found it difficult to understand due to its highly technical and complex interface.
Goal
Our goal was to create an immersive experience that demystifies the Bloomberg Terminal and clearly communicates its value. By leveraging the capabilities of VR, we aimed to help users understand the platform’s core features and how they support financial decision-making.
Storyboard samples
Unlike traditional 2D storyboards, these samples were created to plan for an immersive 360° environment. They account for spatial orientation, depth, user gaze, and movement within VR space. Each frame maps out interactive flows, timing, and environmental cues, helping align visual storytelling with spatial experience early in the design process.
Challenge
Since our target audience, finance professionals mostly in the age range of 30 to 65, the majority of them weren’t very familiar to VR experiences in general. During the trial period, substantial amount of users struggle to navigate through the product. They weren’t sure how to use the controllers the right way to interact with the scenes inside the experience.
Solution
We decided to create a short tutorial segment in the beginning of the experience. We wanted to walk the user thorugh different types of interactions they can achieve by using the buttons on the controllers. After we implemented to create this segment, the users responded with feedback on how much easier to comprehend the interactive element of the experience and how they were able to enjoy and get a better understading of the Bloomberg Terminal.
Scene stills
A selection of stills from the VR experience showcasing key moments, data visualizations, and spatial UI elements. These scenes highlight how real-time financial information and interface components were translated into an immersive 3D environment designed to feel both cinematic and functional.
Process reels
Behind-the-scenes clips capturing the design and development process, from early 3D explorations to motion studies and UI prototypes. These reels document how visual, interactive, and spatial elements evolved over time to shape the final VR experience.
