 Bloomberg VR

We wanted to create a fully immersive 360 experience to introduce the Bloomberg Terminal and what it offers to finance professionals. This highly interactive experience gives you an overview of the Bloomberg’s product in a cinematic and engaging way. Working under the creative director, I was responsible for designing the visual elements throughout the entire experience including 3D content, UI elements and interactivity.

Problem

Even though Bloobmerg Terminal, Bloomberg’s main software, is an essential tool for finance professionals and traders, potential customers lacked an understanding of what the software provides due to its technical and intimidatingly complex nature.

Goal

We wanted to create an highly immersive experience in order to educate and familiarize the audience with Bloomberg’s core product. We wanted to take advantage of the cutting-edge platform to inform the users what our product offers as their powerful financial tools.

Challenge

Since our target audience, finance professionals mostly in the age range of 30 to 65, the majority of them weren’t very familiar to VR experiences in general. During the trial period, substantial amount of users struggle to navigate through the product. They weren’t sure how to use the controllers the right way to interact with the scenes inside the experience.

Solution

We decided to create a short tutorial segment in the beginning of the experience. We wanted to walk the user thorugh different types of interactions they can achieve by using the buttons on the controllers. After we implemented to create this segment, the users responded with feedback on how much easier to comprehend the interactive element of the experience and how they were able to enjoy and get a better understading of the Bloomberg Terminal.
